Weekly Report moving to Sunday's 🎖
Fleet Reserve Association | TVLC | AFA
Due to my work schedule, I am moving the Weekly Report to Sundays. This also puts less pressure on contributors sending in articles and information.

Fleet Reserve Association Branch 34 has agreed to lead the May 2026 meeting.
Which means we still have February available and all other 2026 meeting slots available. First come, first serve.
Dear AFA Bud West Chapter Members -
I hope the New Year is off to a good start for you and your families.
My apologies for the relatively short notice - but our next Quarterly meeting will be held Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 1130-1330 at the Elks Lodge - located at 276 Magnolia Drive - across from Tallahassee Ford. Some of you might already be familiar with the Elks Lodge - as we hold our quarterly MOAA meetings at the same venue. However, it’s a new venue for the AFA. Our attendance at Golden Corral Buffet over the past year has been very low; thus, we’ll try a new venue - and enhance our chapter participation.
The cost is $15/person; I’ve asked that our group meet in a separate room - and management will provide that. This will be on a trial basis - and if everyone is satisfied - we could ask for a different day of the week (we had always met on Wednesdays during the past year - which I realize doesn’t always work for everyone). However, the Elks Lodge serves lunch each Thursday; hence, the reason for this meeting being held Thursday, Jan 29.
I’d also appreciate it if you could drop off a non-perishable food item in order to support our Veterans Village in Tallahassee.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Look forward to seeing everyone there.

Good evening, Veteran advocates,
Our TVLC Legal Clinic today 1.22.26, at American Legion Sauls-Bridges Post 13, featured our volunteer Team of 22, including 7 attorneys, working with 17 Veterans and family walking in and others by phone; Veterans volunteered with set up, intakes, etc. even though their court-ordered community service requirements have already been completed. (Khalid, Leonard, Gregory).
See www.flsenate.gov for info on the two dozen Veteran-related bills proposed this year. Let us know if you want our “tracker” listing of the ongoing status of the bills, which we update daily. Please volunteer to help if you can.
Leon County Veterans Treatment Court will be in session Monday, January 26, , 3 PM in the downtown Courthouse, Courtroom 2E. Please consider coming to observe/ maybe becoming a Veteran Mentor for the Vets working their way through the program and recovery.
Yesterday’s truck and trailer load of food was delivered to Veterans Village, Homefront, etc. and was worked by Veterans Khalid Shafi, Charles Robinson, John Boyd, David Martinez, Tanya Riley, Gregory Howard, Leonard Bell and Eddie McMillian. (See photo)

And special thanks to the Knights of Columbus Council 12929 (St Louis Catholic) for a generous contribution today! Donations to TVLC from various events in recent months and ongoing supporters are helping Veterans successfully reinstate their Driver’s Licenses, sometimes after years of being unable to lawfully drive. The donations also provide gas for the weekly Food Delivery trips to Quincy for the various Veteran housing facilities around the region.
What else?
Thank you,
Dan Hendrickson, for the Tallahassee Veterans Legal Collaborative www.Tallahasseeveteranslegal.com

We still need someone to step up to be the Outpost 1 Coalition Commander. Vice Commander Gonzalez is only filling this position until someone is able to take it over. It is a high visibility position with the ability to impact the lives of many Veteran Organizations. It’s only for 1 year. Pray about it. Think about it. Whatever you need to do. Just consider it. Thank you for supporting this valuable work.

I would like to order a size women's medium or regular medium if unisex
